Witney Pony Partners offers children and adults the opportunity to interact, ride, and learn about horses in an ethical environment. Also to offer an alternative experience for those who already ride, but were looking for something more ethical. The methods we use are based on horse psychology - working with the horse to create mutual respect, communication and understanding. Where there is new scientific evidence available for welfare and training we always consider and if necessary, incorporate the findings into our programme and care of our equines. We also offer non ridden alternatives for those wishing to spend time with horses but not ride.
Our students always have the same horse or pony for their lessons, as building a relationship is the key to success. It is the relationship, trust and communication between horse and human which creates an accomplished rider.
On weekdays we offer alternative education sessions for children who find mainstream school challenging.
