WATCH NOW: OxLEP digital Q&A: 'How can Oxfordshire’s world-class visitor economy recover from the Coronavirus pandemic?’
The second in our series of digital Q&As - created to support our business community through the COVID-19 pandemic - saw a panel come together yesterday afternoon (6 May), made-up of some of the county’s leading vistor economy figures.
‘How can Oxfordshire’s world-class visitor economy recover from the Coronavirus pandemic?’ covered a variety of key tourism-focused topics. The visitor economy is worth around £2.3bn to the county – that’s 10% of our yearly GVA – and supports around 40,000 jobs across many different attractions.
The Q&A - introduced by OxLEP's Rob Panting - was chaired by Howard Bentham, with the following panel members taking part:
- Hayley Beer-Gamage: Chief Executive – Experience Oxfordshire
- Tagore Ramoutar: Managing Director and Co-Founder – The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD), the current #1 of ‘things to do’ in Oxford on Trip Advisor
- Hedley Swain: Area Director, South East – Arts Council England
Our next Q&A will see a panel discuss: ‘What impact has Coronavirus had on Oxfordshire’s workforce?'. Send us your questions via Twitter, using the hashtag: #OxLEPQandA. Full details to follow.
