Find out how OxLEP Business can help kick-start your 2024 with a whole host of fully funded events available – no matter what stage your business is at.
With a host of new webinars and in-person sessions, OxLEP Business has a vast array of fully funded events on offer to help simplify the Oxfordshire business support landscape and help individuals and businesses to easily start, grow and connect this new year.
Sessions in the coming weeks include OxLEP Business’ Start-Up Club Bootcamp – beginning on 16 January – and targeting the county’s start-ups and early-stage entrepreneurs.
The series of bootcamps have been designed to encourage businesses to focus on the fundamentals of a successful start-up and develop a viable, sustainable business model. With sessions supporting attendees every step of the way as they take those first steps into the business world, delegates will receive expert support in Business Planning, Understanding your Value Proposition and Customers, and Managing your Business Numbers – demystifying financial management.
For more established organisations looking to grow, OxLEP’s latest networking initiative, OxBOoSt, will continue to bring businesses from a variety of sectors together on a monthly, ongoing basis to seek collaboration opportunities – with the event following on from the success of previous OxBOoST events last year. The next OxBOoST session is set to take place on Tuesday 6 February.
For the natural-born leaders – and those who could use a bit more support to take that first foray into business leadership – there are various leadership-specific events, including an event covering ‘Mindful Leadership in Action’ – with a specific focus on Blue Monday and the importance of creating a mindful approach to the workplace.
At the end of the month, business leaders looking to harness their strengths within neurodiverse diagnoses in order to excel within the Oxfordshire business community are invited to attend ‘Unlocking Neurodiversity in Leadership’, in an enlightening session with Emma Redman, an Empowerment Coach and seasoned leader, sharing her personal journey through ADHD.
For leaders looking to collaborate and knowledge-share, the next highly anticipated cohort of Leadership Peer Network webinars are set to begin at the end of the month, meeting fortnightly to cover eight sessions. With all delegates able to offer and obtain advice on themes relating to People, Perspective and Time, the popular format of this series helps to create lasting networks and sounding-boards for business leaders across numerous sectors and areas of the county.
Business leaders can also start the new year building on their knowledge with a series titled, ‘5-A-Day for the C-Suite’, a series of short lunchtime webinars covering a whole host of themes, from AI insight – to leadership tips – to actions that can be taken on the road to net-zero.
For those looking to internationalise their offering, OxLEP Business is holding a designated Business Export Series throughout the month and into February, with content covering LinkedIn for International Trade, Unlocking your Export Potential and Exporting Like a Pro (5 Tactics of Successful Exporters).
Led by International Growth expert Norma Foster, delegates attending any of the events in this series will be offered follow-up support to make their internationalisation dreams a reality, including access to 1:1 support, business route map planning and the potential of fully funded coaching support (pending eligibility and availability).
For those enticed by the world of AI and the role this can play from a business perspective, the new ‘Using AI in Your Business’ webinar hosted by self-confessed AI geek, Grae Laws, is set to take place on the 31 January, and offers the opportunity to find out how AI can help you be more creative and with the accompanying speeding up of productivity, give you an edge in the market.
